CE Marking is a new policy by United Kingdom government to regulate all toys in the direction to meet necessary safety requirements. Since, more than 80% of toy's market in the country comes from China, and the authorities were looking for a solution to ensure and protect children safety; for these reasons, imported and local made toys have to be labelled with CE Marking as a confirmation from the producer whom its toys meet all the safety requirements. In addition, this policy is not only applied for the new products but also for the toys that are already in the markets. Furthermore, the authorities issued a toys' list of what is and isn’t following the instructions; which is a sign to avoid any toy without CE label. However, this label doesn’t represent how the quality of the toys is. It’s only shows that the toys have met all the safety requirements only.
